Courage, Confidence and Connections

  BEAUTY      We've all heard it said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that is certainly a true statement. What I see as beautiful you may not care for at all. It is a wonderful thing that we don't have to all see things through the same lens so to speak.     Some of my favorite things I consider beautiful are animals such as cats, dogs, horses, deer and of course birds. But actually all creatures are beautiful to behold and so are all people. I also love and appreciate the beauty in a landscape. I won't get into anything concerning politics, religion or the like here. I like to keep my blogs more along the lines of happy thoughts.     The definition of 'beauty' according to Merriam Webster is " the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit". I would agree with that definition. It is all about how we behold the object we are seeing....

  Déjà Vu      I just watched a wonderful movie again last night by this title with Denzel Washington. It will mess with your brain and your perception of reality. The first time I saw it it wasn’t clear what was going on. The next time I saw it, I got it.      Have you ever felt like you’ve ‘been there, done that’? I certainly have. Some call it flash back, and some think it’s premonition or flash forward. Personally I believe our minds and our brains have such amazing power.     We can perceive things that are wildly unexplainable can’t we? There is the practical side of life we live in every day and night. I have had deja vu many many times over the years. Memories are sometimes like that when they come out of nowhere.     Other times it can seem very random. In this movie, Denzel actually travels back to the past to change the situation and saves hundreds of lives. I won’t spoil the end but it will definitely get you thinking....
